What I did then...

I spent years of my career working inside insurance companies. I gained first-hand knowledge of their inner workings, and I know their procedures well. 

I thoroughly enjoyed defending clients who were being sued by people making outrageous and frivolous claims. I was good at it. Yet even as an insurance defense attorney, I believed a person should be fairly compensated for their injuries. If, however, they were not genuinely injured as a result of my client's actions, my client should not be held responsible.  

What I do now...

Now, working on the other side against insurance companies, I find my former experience has enhanced my ability to avoid the pitfalls of so many other personal injury attorneys. I know how to prepare and strengthen a case against criticism and attack, because I know exactly what the insurance attorneys are looking for. I know what is important, and what is not, because I have seen hundreds of cases through their eyes.  

As I now sit on the other side of the table, I still feel a strong sense of satisfaction each time justice prevails and my client is duly compensated for the genuine injuries they have suffered. 

Trial Experience

Believe it or not, most attorneys have never actually taken a case all the way to trial. The vast majority of personal injury cases settle outside of court. Still, an attorney with significant courtroom experience is extremely beneficial, and something you should look for when considering who should represent you. An attorney with a reputation for success in the courtroom is taken much more seriously by other attorneys, insurance companies, and will know how to strengthen your case.
